We hope you’re happy with your Arval MotorTrade purchase! If however your vehicle has discrepancies from the advert (e.g. missing items, warning lights, or unadvertised damage), you can open a claim, and our team will investigate. Here’s how.
1 RAISING A CLAIM 

You can submit a claim through your MotorTrade account by clicking the “Claim” button in the Awarded Vehicles section.

We strive to respond as quickly as possible, but a decision can only be made once all required documentation is provided. To ensure a swift resolution, please include all necessary details when raising your claim. We've included this information below.
After selecting the relevant Claim category and subcategory, you can attach supporting documents. If you have multiple issues, it’s best to open one claim per vehicle - choose a category and include all details in the comments and attachments.
Click “Next” (bottom right), and a new window will open where you can describe the issue(s), upload photos, provide a repair estimate, and enter the total claimed amount.
Keep these key points in mind:

  • Clear photos of damage are required - the more proof, the better. Accepted formats: JPG, PDF, GIF, BMP, PNG (photos) and MP4 (videos, max 4MB)
  • Attach proof of handover from the storage site staff or delivery agent, showing the reported issues
  • A final repair quote on company-headed paper is mandatory, including a VAT breakdown and an itemised list of charges
  • The claimed amount must match the final quote provided
  • We aim to provide an outcome within 3 working days providing that we have all required documentation and information
  • We request customers to satisfy themselves with their purchase before completing any work to the vehicle purchased.

2 CANCELLING A SALE 

Sometimes, after submitting a claim, we may agree to re-purchase the sale for various reasons. Your Account Manager will inform you of the final decision.

If a reversal is approved, there are two possible scenarios:
